To my understanding, this has been accepted for decades as fact. The issue, of course, is whether they were able to conceive and, if so, whether the offspring were viable & whether or not they were sterile.

That debate still rages. It will be interesting to see his results.

This is interesting.  I had thought the two species didn't really coexist in the same times and places.

    I too am curious as to what mixes there are.  Some people now look a little like Neanderthals.
